Volunteer Legal Services Hawai'i provides free or low-cost legal help to low-income residents and the non-profit organizations serving them in communities across our state with the help of volunteers who contribute pro bono services.

We invite attorneys, law students, and others to volunteer to work with any of our numerous projects addressing the unmet legal needs of Hawai'i's low-income residents.

We provide the legal community with innovative ways to carry on its long tradition of pro bono service through individual representation of clients, working at legal clinics, and assisting in community projects.

Originally known as Hawai'i Lawyers Care, VLSH began in 1981 with 10 volunteers. Today that number has grown to more than 850 and enables us to offer a wide range of services and volunteer opportunities.

We invite you to learn more about our work and perhaps discover something you'd like to support and/or become involved in. If you are an attorney and would like to volunteer, please take a minute to fill out a volunteer sign-up form and send it to us.

If you find any broken links or anything else that isn't functioning properly, please let us know. Mahalo.
