Estate Planning

Wills, Power of Attorney, and Advanced Health Care Directive

Estate Planning

Individuals looking to have simple estate planning documents drafted including wills, power of attorneys, and advanced health care directives will fill out an estate planning questionnaire and meet with a Volunteer Attorney at a Neighborhood Legal Clinic for legal advice and counsel. The Volunteer Attorney will determine what type of referral is appropriate on a case by case basis. Volunteer Legal Services Hawaiʻi will make every effort to ensure that estate planning documents are drafted for qualified individuals.

Qualifying individuals needing assistance with legal issues including guardianships for incapacitated adults issues will meet with a Volunteer Attorney at a Neighborhood Legal Clinic for legal advice and counsel. The Clinic attorney will determine whether the case is appropriate for referral for additional pro bono assistance (based on volunteer availability; representation cannot be guaranteed).
